Consignment and transfers between dealers

Know exactly which dealer is holding which of your phones, and what they owe.

How do phone dealers track goods given to another dealer to sell?

In PhoneVault you record the phone, the dealer who took it and the price you agreed. The record stays open until the phone is sold and paid for, or returned. If the other dealer is on PhoneVault too, they see the same record on their side, so there is no argument later.

What you get

  • Give stock out: the phone, who took it, the agreed price and the date.
  • Hold stock for others: goods you are selling for another shop stay apart from your own.
  • Mark each line sold, settled or returned, or replace a faulty unit.
  • Works with dealers who are not on PhoneVault — you keep the record with their name and number.
  • Transfers: sell stock to another shop on PhoneVault and they accept it into their own stock.
  • IMEIs are checked against reported devices when a transfer is received.
  • A dispute can be raised and settled on the record if the two sides disagree.

How it works

  1. Pick the phones and the dealer, and set the agreed price.

  2. The other dealer accepts. Both of you now see the same list.

  3. Close each line when it is paid for or comes back.

Quick answers

What if the other dealer does not use PhoneVault?

You can still record the consignment against their name and phone number. You keep the record; they just do not get their own copy until they join.

Can I see everything one dealer is holding for me?

Yes. Each dealer you trade with has one record showing what they hold, what has been sold and what is still unpaid.
