Report a stolen or lost phone
Flag your phone’s IMEI so a dealer who scans it knows it is not the seller’s to sell.
How do I report a stolen phone so it cannot be resold?
Report the phone’s IMEI at phonevault.pro/report. PhoneVault reviews the report, and once it is approved the phone shows as “Reported” to every dealer or buyer who checks that IMEI, which makes it very hard to resell in a market that uses PhoneVault.
What you get
- You do not need to be a dealer to report your own phone.
- You need the phone’s IMEI — it is on the box and on your purchase receipt.
- You confirm your email address and show proof that the phone is yours.
- Every report is reviewed before it counts, so nobody can flag a phone out of spite.
- Dealers can report a phone from inside the app, attached to the sale it came from.
How it works
Find the IMEI on the phone’s box or your receipt.
Open phonevault.pro/report, fill in the IMEI and what happened, and add your proof of ownership.
PhoneVault reviews the report. Once approved, the IMEI shows as reported to everyone who checks it.
Quick answers
Does this replace a police report?
No. Report the theft to the police and to your network provider as well. PhoneVault adds one more barrier: the dealers who would otherwise buy the phone can see it is reported.
I don’t know my IMEI. Can I still report?
The IMEI is what identifies the phone, so a report needs it. Check the box, the receipt from the shop, or your Google or Apple account’s device list.
How long does a report take to show?
A report is reviewed by a person before it is approved. Until then the IMEI still reads clean.
